12" Traffic Signal Head, 3 Section, Polycarbonate

Our Traffic Signal Heads are engineered for maximum visibility, durability, and versatility. Whether you are managing high-speed public intersections or controlling internal logistics at a busy industrial facility, these signal heads provide a clear, high-brightness light source that ensures safety and compliance. Constructed with UV-stabilized polycarbonate, these housings are built to withstand extreme weather conditions without fading or degrading over time. Versatile Use Cases & Applications: While standard on city streets, these signal heads are the perfect choice for a wide range of industrial and commercial traffic control needs: Public Roadways & Intersections: Fully compliant with ITE standards for municipal use on standard and high-speed roads. Toll Booths & Collection Plazas: Provide clear "Stop/Go" indicators for high-volume lane management to improve throughput and safety. Truck Scales & Weigh Stations: Essential for signaling drivers when to pull onto the scale, stop for measurement, and exit the facility safely. Loading Docks & Distribution Centers: Manage the flow of semi-trucks at bays to prevent accidents and signal when trailers are clear for departure. Parking Garages & Car Washes: Control entry/exit points and signal lane availability to prevent congestion in tight spaces. Industrial Facilities & Mine Sites: Protect forklift crossings and heavy machinery routes by providing clear right-of-way signaling in loud or busy environments. Drive-Thru & Banking Lanes: Efficiently manage vehicle queues and signal lane status to customers. Engineered for exceptional durability and maintenance-free performance, this 12" traffic signal head is made with injection-molded, UV-stabilized, pre-colored opaque polycarbonate. This material ensures the signal will never need painting. Key Features: Robust & Aerodynamic Housing: The housing features a wall thickness that varies from .160" on the body to .175" at the top and bottom. Extensive internal ribbing provides superior stiffness and strength, while the aerodynamic shape is wind-resistant. Each one-piece unit is serrated in 5° increments, allowing them to be fastened together to form multi-section signals. Secure Access & Hardware: The door is secured by two stainless steel captive eyebolts and wingnuts, providing access to the inside of the housing. The hinge pins are also stainless steel, and all screw holes feature ultrasonically inserted 10-32 brass inserts. Versatile Visor Options: The removable, twist-on visor is secured to the door with stainless steel hardware. Available visor styles include Cap, Tunnel, and Full Circle. Mounting Ease: Achieve positive positioning and locking through the use of serrated fittings, mast arm brackets, or span wire mounts. Wiring Connections: A 4-position terminal block comes pre-installed in the middle section.
