True Stories

Author:  Bob McClary    Meet Cowboy Bob McClary. He mostly spends his time riding, roping, shoeing, training, chasing, and figurin' out horses. And getting into all kinds of scrapes, like facing down a rattlesnake or the ants in his pants-the stingin' red kind. Or finding out the hard way why you should never try to pull a fast one on your little sister. This man careens, caroms, and ricochets through life, laughing all the way. If you need proof that hard work can still feel like easy living, look no further than this collection of raucous anecdotes, far-flung adventures, and pearls of prairie wisdom. As Bob makes plain as day, a horseman's life is no picnic. It's filled with physical pain, risk, and sometimes a little heartbreak. But it's also funny as heck, if you just look at it the right way. In True Stories, he'll show you that we all got to laugh at ourselves now and again, to offer help and ask for it when needed, and to learn our lessons well-otherwise we won't make it. Cowboy Bob, well, he's still makin' it. Even though he packs 25 hours into every day, he's always got time to share a story, so you're in luck. Pull up a chair and he'll climb down from his horse. If you've a mind to, pour a coffee or crack a beer, and have a read by one of the most generous, most honest, and dang funniest storytellers in and around the great state of Texas. You'll be glad you did. Hardcover: 180 pages Size:  ‎ 5 x  8 inches
