Will work for gates with a gap of up to 2" Spring tension is incrementally adjustable with a screwdriver Self closes gates weighing up to 55 lbs per pair of hinges. Weight rating is based on gate maximum size of 5' high by 3' wide. Hinge has side legs for added strength which wrap 1" around the fence post and edge of gate. This hinge is not handed.
