TruArc 5 Base Plate Compass

Real adventure can't happen in cell range, but navigation without Siri is a skill we should have, anyway. You know, just in case the lights ever do go out. For that, you'll need a good old fashioned paper map and a compass. We can't help you with the former, but we can with the latter. Brunton makes some of the best navigational equipment on the planet and their compasses are no exception. The TruArc 5 is a feature-packed workhorse that can handle direction anywhere on the earth via the TruArcTM Global Needle system, which offers tool-less declination adjustment. An ideal size base plate provides an excellent backdrop for the built-in map magnifier and scale (in. or cm.). Great for prof and novice hikers alike, you can be sure you'll never lose your bearing again with a TruArc 5 in your pack.
