The TropicSnow Peach (Prunus persica ‘TropicSnow’), released in 1989 through a University of Florida and Texas A&M collaboration, is one of the most sought-after low-chill white peach varieties for warm climates. Celebrated for its exceptionally low acidity, TropicSnow delivers a pure, honey-sweet flavor paired with soft, melting white flesh that truly lives up to its reputation as a premium dessert peach. Requiring fewer than 300 chill hours, it thrives in Southern regions with mild winters, producing consistent, high-quality fruit where traditional peaches fall short. This early-season peach produces medium-sized fruit with a beautiful 40–50% red blush over a creamy white background, making it as visually striking as it is delicious. The semi-freestone pit allows for easy eating and preparation, while its silky texture makes TropicSnow perfect for fresh eating, fruit bowls, and gourmet desserts. Ripening early, it offers growers the opportunity to enjoy premium white peaches at the very start of the season. For gardeners and orchardists seeking a low-chill, early-ripening white peach with outstanding sweetness, minimal acidity, and reliable Southern performance, the TropicSnow Peach Tree stands out as one of the finest choices available. Requires Chill Hours: 225 Rootstock – Nemaguard.
