The TropicBeauty Peach (Prunus persica ‘TropicBeauty’), introduced in 1989 through a collaboration between the University of Florida and Texas A&M, is a standout low-chill peach variety prized for its exceptional flavor, early harvest, and beautiful fruit. Perfectly adapted to warm, mild-winter climates, TropicBeauty requires 150 chill hours, making it a reliable performer across the Southeast, Gulf Coast, Texas, and similar regions where traditional peaches often fail. This proven cultivar produces medium-sized peaches with a striking 70% red blush over a vibrant yellow background. Inside, the fruit delivers sweet, melting yellow flesh surrounding a semi-freestone pit, offering excellent texture and easy eating. Ripening early in the season, TropicBeauty allows growers to enjoy high-quality peaches ahead of most standard varieties—an advantage for both home orchards and early markets. With its dependable fruit set, attractive appearance, and classic peach flavor, the TropicBeauty Peach Tree is an outstanding choice for gardeners seeking a low-chill, early-ripening peach that delivers both beauty and bounty year after year. Requires Chill Hours: 150 Rootstock – Nemaguard.
