Tromethamine (base)

CAS No. 77-86-1 Tromethamine is rapidly becoming the preferred buffer and mild neutralizing amine for personal care and cosmetic products. The lower equivalent weight and higher pKa value of Tromethamine means it is more efficient than Triethanolamine (TEA) at raising pH. Since Tromethamine is oxidatively stable, it should not cause yellowing or darkening in skin-care preparations upon storage. Tromethamine is heat tolerant, so you can add it in the first water phase as well to speed up it dissolving .
