Trixie Cat Race & Scratch Interactive Cat Toy

Circular Ball Track with Catnip Ball and Cardboard Scratcher Product Description The Trixie Cat Race and Scratch is an indoor interactive circular track toy that combines ball chasing and cardboard scratching in one. A removable plastic ball runs through the track and can be unscrewed and filled with catnip or a rattle for extra appeal. A removable scratching cardboard sits in the center, giving cats a dedicated outlet for their natural scratching instinct. Non-slip rubber feet keep the base stable, and all parts are BPA, phthalate, and lead-free. Features Removable 1.6 in plastic ball Catnip or rattle-filled ball Removable scratching cardboard center Non-slip rubber feet Compatible with additional balls Benefits Satisfies Chase Instinct: The circular track keeps the ball rolling continuously, giving cats a moving target to bat and chase, fulfilling their natural need to hunt and pursue prey. Catnip or Rattle Option: Filling the hollow ball with catnip or a small rattle adds sensory appeal, drawing cats to the toy through scent or sound and sustaining interest during long play sessions. Redirects Scratching Behavior: The built-in cardboard scratcher gives cats an appropriate surface to scratch, helping protect household furniture by channeling claw-sharpening to a dedicated, replaceable scratcher. Reduces Boredom Daily: Combining two play types, chasing and scratching, in one station keeps cats mentally engaged and physically active, reducing restlessness and boredom-related destructive behavior at home. Furniture Stays Protected: Providing a purpose-built scratching surface within an engaging toy station encourages cats to use it consistently, reducing the likelihood of unwanted scratching on sofas and carpets. Specifications Measurement Type Inches Centimeters Diameter 14.6 in 37 cm Materials Used Plastic and cardboard. How to Use Play Instructions Place on flat ground: Set the toy on a flat, hard floor surface so the rubber feet grip firmly and the ball rolls freely around the circular track without obstruction. Fill the ball: Unscrew the plastic ball, add a pinch of catnip or a small rattle inside for extra appeal, then screw it back and place it in the track to attract your cat's attention. Introduce to your cat: Gently tap the ball to send it rolling around the track; the movement will trigger your cat's chase instinct and encourage them to bat and paw at the ball. Add more balls: Place compatible additional balls in the track alongside the original ball to increase action and keep your cat more engaged during play sessions. Additional Information Care Instructions  Wipe track regularly: Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe the plastic track surface after each session to remove fur, dust, and debris that accumulates during active play. Replace cardboard when worn: When the center scratching cardboard becomes heavily scratched or worn down, remove it and replace it using the official replacement cardboard to maintain hygiene and function. Clean ball separately: Remove the ball from the track, unscrew it, rinse both halves with mild soap and warm water, dry them fully, and reassemble before returning the ball to the track. Store away from moisture: Keep the toy in a dry indoor location when not in use to prevent moisture from warping the cardboard center or affecting the rubber feet and plastic frame over time. Safety Instructions Watch the first few play sessions: keep an eye on your cat at the start to make sure they’re playing safely and not trying to chew or pull apart the plastic parts or cardboard. Check the ball before use: quickly look over the plastic ball for any cracks or damage, and replace it right away if you spot anything to avoid sharp edges. Use catnip in small amounts: if you’re adding catnip, just use a little pinch, too much can make some cats overly excited or a bit restless. Ans: This toy brings two fun things together in one spot, a circular track where your cat can chase and bat the ball, and a replaceable cardboard scratcher in the middle for clawing. It keeps them active, helps burn energy, and also gives them a proper place to scratch instead of your furniture. Q2: Can the ball be filled with catnip? Ans: Yes, the 1.6 inch plastic ball is designed to be unscrewed and filled with catnip or a small rattle for extra sensory appeal. Adding catnip attracts cats through scent while a rattle draws them with sound, both of which increase engagement and encourage more active batting and chasing during play. Q3: Is the scratching cardboard replaceable? Ans: Yes, the scratching cardboard in the center can be taken out and replaced easily. Once it gets worn down, just switch it with the official replacement piece. This keeps the toy fresh and usable for longer, without having to throw away the whole plastic frame. Q4: Can I add more balls to this track? Ans: Yes, additional compatible balls can be added to increase activity levels. Adding more balls to the circular track creates more simultaneous movement, keeping cats more engaged and active during solo play sessions throughout the day. Q5: How do the rubber feet help during play? Ans: The non-slip rubber feet grip the floor surface and anchor the base in place during active batting and scratching sessions. This prevents the toy from sliding or tipping away from the cat while they play, ensuring a stable and frustration-free experience during every session. Q6: Is this toy safe for cats? Ans: Yes, this Trixie cat toy is made with BPA, phthalate, and lead-free plastic and cardboard, so all parts are safe and non-toxic for cats. It’s still a good idea to keep an eye on playtime and check the ball now and then for any damage. The 1.6 inch ball should also be kept away from small kids since it can be a choking risk. Q7: What size is this toy? Ans: This toy measures 14.6 inches in diameter (37 cm). Its big size gives cats plenty of space for the ball to roll around freely, and the center fits the scratching cardboard nicely. For the best play, place it on a flat, hard floor so it stays steady and the fun doesn’t get interrupted.
