Trident Super Float & Diver Down Flag

Overview The Trident Super Float & Diver Down Flag is a highly visible surface marker designed to help alert boaters and other watercraft that divers are below. The system combines a traditional red-and-white diver-down flag with a stable yellow float, weighted base, and two-piece pole system for a practical surface-signaling setup. A lead-weighted base helps keep the marker upright in the water, while an attachment eyelet provides a connection point for a compatible diver or anchor line. The two-piece design breaks down for easier transportation and storage, making it a convenient option for shore diving, boat diving, and other locations where a surface dive flag is required. Best For Recreational scuba diving Shore diving Boat diving Marking an active dive area at the surface Divers who need a portable diver-down flag system Key Features Traditional Diver-Down Flag: Red-and-white flag provides a highly recognizable surface signal indicating divers are below. 14 × 16-Inch Flag: Includes Trident's heavy-duty diver-down flag for increased surface visibility. Flag Stiffener: Helps keep the flag extended and visible even when there is little or no wind. Brass Grommets: Reinforced grommets provide durable attachment points for securing the flag to the pole. High-Visibility Yellow Float: Bright float provides strong surface visibility in addition to the diver-down flag. Lead-Weighted Base: Weighted bottom helps stabilize the assembly and reduce the tendency for the marker to invert in the water. Line Attachment Eyelet: Weighted base includes an eyelet for attaching a compatible tow, diver, or anchor line. Two-Piece Design: Pole system separates into smaller sections for easier transportation and storage. Positive Buoyancy: Durable float provides the buoyancy needed to support the flag assembly at the surface. Specifications Brand: Trident Product Type: Diver Down Flag & Surface Float Flag Style: Red & White Diver-Down Flag Size: Approx. 14 × 16 in Flag Stiffener: Included Flag Grommets: Brass Float Color: Yellow Float Construction: Durable PVC Base: Lead Weighted Line Attachment: Eyelet at Weighted Base Pole Design: Two Piece Nominal Pole System Length: Approx. 4 ft Two-Piece Design The flag pole separates into two sections to reduce its packed length when transporting or storing the system. This makes the Super Float easier to fit into a vehicle, dive locker, or larger gear-storage area than a comparable one-piece flag assembly. Line Attachment An eyelet at the weighted end of the float provides a convenient point for attaching a compatible diver, tow, or anchor line. A line or separate anchor is not included. Use & Safety Assemble the pole and flag securely and confirm that the float remains upright before beginning your dive. Attach any required line using an appropriate connection method and regularly inspect all components for wear. Dive-flag regulations vary by location, including requirements for flag size, distance from the flag, and where it must be displayed, so always follow applicable local diving and boating laws. Care & Maintenance Rinse the float, pole, flag, grommets, and weighted attachment point thoroughly with fresh water after use, especially after saltwater exposure. Allow all components to dry before storage and periodically inspect the flag fabric, stiffener, pole connections, float, and line eyelet for wear or damage. Expert Insight The Trident Super Float provides a more stable surface-marker setup than a simple flag mounted to a lightweight pole. Its bright yellow float, weighted base, stiffened diver-down flag, and two-piece construction make it a practical choice for divers who need both visibility on the water and easier storage between dives.
