This 40th Anniversary Edition follows the same principles and benefits from the latest optimizations of the Antal model. It features new rose gold anodized magnesium dome tweeter, offering high efficiency and controlled distortion. Magnesium combines two desired qualities: lightness and rigidity. It also has a new midrange/bass driver in natural cellulose paper, this time with an engine and suspensions adapted for a wider spectrum of sound. Clarity, details of the vocal range, and incredible delivery of lower frequencies are its main qualities. With its dedicated speaker stand, the S04 40th Anniversary, this speaker will be perfect for rooms smaller than 25m2.     French Craftsmanship For the past 40 years, TRIANGLE has been designing and assembling its prestigious speakers in our workshop in Soissons. The team of engineers is working closely with production, thus ensuring unparalleled manufacturing quality and compliance with very precise and detailed specifications. TRIANGLE’s traditional craftsmanship is based on our employees’ long experience, some of whom have been with the company for more than 35 years. The different components are controlled and carefully assembled, to achieve the utmost finish and acoustic quality. Each speaker is subject to strict acoustic controls. Measurements in an anechoic chamber and a numbered certificate of authenticity ensure the uniqueness of the loudspeakers produced in the factory.         ESPRIT 40th Technology   Magnesium Dome The unprecedented use of a composite dome in rose gold anodized magnesium, offers the tweeter high efficiency, controlled distortion, and excellent directivity. Magnesium combines two desired qualities: lightness and rigidity. Midrange in cellulose paper membrane  The material made out of 100% natural cellulose paper is a paper fiber without any surface treatment, supplying a natural sound without coloration. New generation Woofer Providing significant performance upgrade, th Antal 40th Anniversary incorporates a new generation of bass drivers for high impact and musicality. The membrane is a unique compos of two types of wood pulp coupled with flax combined with carbon fiber, limiting distortior despite its long throw. The driver has a generc sized engine, ensuring excellent control and g sharpness.     New finishes RARE WOOD VARIETY & PINK ALUMINUM Three new shades of wood add undeniable elegance to this 40th Anniversary Edition. The various tints and wood grains of the Santos rosewood are enhanced by a glossy finish for a unique look with enchanting reflections. The blond Sycamore shade seduces by its elegance and serenity. Adorned with a single layer of mat varnish, the material and nature of the wood take center stage. And the golden oak is authentic and slightly honey-colored wood. A subtle rose gold anodization of the speaker’s trim rings completes this limited edition. A noble & unique product, reflecting the quality of TRIANGLE.             Dedicated Speaker Stands Optimized acoustic seal The S04 40th Anniversary speaker stand will be perfect for the Comète 40th speakers. The speaker can be screwed to the stand for more rigidity, decoupling will then be done at the base, following the same principle as the Antal 40th. The stand can also be filled to better absorb vibrations. It includes cable routing at the rear for harmonious and discreet integration.                   DECOUPLING SPIKES Two sets of decoupling spikes: the first one in rose gold aluminum, adjustable in height and provided with lock nuts for surfaces like carpets, and the second one in rubber for more rigid surfaces. These accessories enable decoupling by significantly reducing the transmission of unwanted vibrations to the floor, thus improving the listening experience.                   REVIEW & AWARDS COMETE SPEAKERS FROM TRIANGLE - Read More "The Triangle Comete 40th Anniversary Editions offer a definite style. A definite personality and I like that. I like the fact that these speakers provide a sonic choice. An option. The Triangles are boisterous and animated. Some listeners will think that the mids verge on the unruly. They will be suspicious of the mids. Suspicious that they might lose control. Others will adore the midrange panache and flamboyance. Bass has impact and power but also dash and élan while treble entices with a fine detail. The Triangle Comete speakers are not speakers-by-numbers. I am sure computers were a part of their creation but the Triangles do not sound like they have emerged from exacting tools. They sound like they are speakers, not of the brain, but of the heart."   Triangle Comète Anniversary - Read More "While Comètes are clearly a Statement product from Triangle to celebrate their 40th anniversary, and they are limited-edition, the pricing is such as to make these speakers something of a bargain. Indeed, if they were twice the price, they would still be good value. The design is competent and the build quality to an exceptionally high standard. The finish is just exquisite with those rose-gold accents and they are a joy to behold. The sound balance is lively, extremely involving and features an attention-grabbing midrange which is full of detail. The treble is silky smooth, refined and natural, all-in equal measure, and managed to avoid any shrillness. While not on the shopping list for bass junkies, those of us who enjoy acoustic music will find them sublime. The rhythm and timing credentials are rarely matched at this price-point. Triangle have produced a very special loudspeaker indeed, and one that’s not just special in name." - Trevor Butler   Review: Triangle Comète 40th Anniversary Edition Speakers - Read More "The recurring theme of the Comete 40th Anniversary Edition was speed, agility, and musicality. They paired up well with different types of amplifiers, presenting a clear window into my musical collection. Careful system matching may be required due to how unforgiving and honest the tweeter sounds. Room size, acoustics, and sound preferences will come into play here. These speakers do have a forward and engaging presentation, so detail lovers take note."        SPECIFICATIONS Speaker use   Recommended room size The Comète 40th is recommended for listening rooms with an area between 15 and 35 m2. Find a model in the Esprit 40th range that suits your listening room: • from 15 to 35m2: Comète 40th • from 15 to 50m2: Antal 40th Amplifier and Power Handling Recommended Amplifier power : from 25 to 130 Watts (8 Ohms) Power Handling : 90W * The power handling of a speaker is the average continuous power that the speaker can accept without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier more powerful than the permissible speaker power by limiting the volume to 70% of the maximum capacity. Conversely, an amplifier that is too underpowered will clip and create distortion, which can also damage the speakers if it is used beyond its capacity. Features Speaker Specifications • Type : Bookshelf speakers with front bass reflex port • Crossover : 2 Ways • Sensitivity (dB/W/m) : 90dB • Bandwith (+/-3dB Hz) : 47Hz-22 000Hz • Nominal impedance : 8Ω • Minimum impedance : 4,2Ω   * The impedance of a speaker can be simplified as an electrical resistance. The lower is the impedance of the speaker, the more current the amplifier will have to deliver. - Nominal impedance is measured at a frequency of 1kHz - Minimum impedance is measured at low frequencies. TRIANGLE loudspeakers never fall below 3 Ohms, which means they can be used with almost all Hi-Fi and Home Cinema amplifiers.
