Triangle Alyssum Botanical Necklace, Colombia

This stunning necklace is handmade using renewable bio-based resins and pressed flowers from gardens in South America. This one features beautiful alyssum flowers.  Pendant measures approximately  1" long by 1/2" wide. 24K gold-plated chain measures 18" long plus 2" extender. All of our products are shipped with cards containing information about fair trade and the corresponding artisan group. ABOUT THE ARTISANS The artisans who make this jewelry live in the central mountainous Andean region of Colombia.  They are part of a fair trade cooperative where they are paid fair wages and work in safe, comfortable conditions. They use bio-based resins made from upcycled or recycled materials that have been discarded.  One example is pine park that is stripped from pine trees when they are made into lumber.  This process creates a "green chemistry," which uses no petroleum based products and reduces the carbon footprint.
