BioSpec Trau-Mend Unique Vitamin/Enzyme Complex Trau-Mend is a unique blend of specific Vitamins, Minerals, and Enzymes designed to speed the healing process following trauma or injury. Proteolytic enzymes, including bromelain, papain, trypsin, and chymotrypsin, can assist in digesting cellular debris and reduce the need for macrophages and inflammation to facilitate healing. Proteolytic enzymes support the inflammatory process through the production of cytokines, by reducing the swelling of mucous membranes, decreasing capillary permeability, and dissolving blood clot-forming fibrin deposits and microthrombi.
