Transport by Refractor Audio (Sample-Based Instrument)

TRANSPORT marks the maiden voyage of Refractor Audio brought to you by Klayton (Celldweller) as it ascends to the stars. Blast off to the outer limits of sound design with a Kontakt Instrument that gives access to over 2000 unique samples created by Klayton in the Celldweller Spaceship. Create new sonic worlds with Transport by combining 5 unique sequencers along with the Transport Probability Engine to mix, mash, and modulate them into new and exciting sounds. Transport plays loops in an unconventional and unpredictable manner. It is monophonic in the sense that it will only play one sample at a time, despite how many notes are played. However, at its core sits the ability to take a chosen set of loops and let the Probability Engine randomly jump between slices of those loops at varying rates, all synced to your DAW. Slice “in order” to ensure your kicks, snares, and other accents always land in logical spots, or “randomly” to allow the Probability Engine to make your patterns more unpredictable. After triggering one or more loops, create new variations using the 5 step sequencers which control volume, delay send, cutoff, pitch, and hold time. Sequence “in order” or “randomly” at a separate rate from the Probability Engine for constantly evolving rhythms that never repeat. Other features include keyswitch presets for changing patterns on the fly, keyswitch tuning which can be combined with the scale quantized pitch sequencer for arpeggios across different chords, a keyswitch slice repeater and stepper, velocity sensitivity, sustain pedal compatibility, and additional controls for each of the sequenced effects. Triggered, one-shot samples have not been forgotten in Transport, with over 600 sounds ranging from drums, to modular synth FX and cinematic impacts. 3.85 GB of unique samples 5 Step-Sequencers 101 Kontakt Instruments (NKI Files) 2000+ Samples in 24bit, 44.1 kHz Audio 1400+ Loops 650+ One-Shots This Product is a Digital Download. I can see myself using this a lot for Game and TV score work. Really great sounds in this collection!" - Richard Devine (Sound Designer/Composer: AUDI, BMW, Ford, Coco-Cola, Lexus, LG) "I've always loved Klayton's production, it's pristine, huge, and flawless. He's always pushing the boundaries of sound design, both with his music and his sample packs. When I heard he was releasing Transport, it was a great opportunity to actually have a playable instrument utilizing his sounds and production. Transport has a massive array of versatile and detailed sounds and loops covering a wide range of styles that I love to explore, from dirty industrial basslines to colossal score drums to slinky house arps. I'm having a blast digging into it!" - Jade Puget (AFI, Blaqk Audio) "I have never seen such a limitless sample-based instrument!” - Zardonic "Transport is top notch! The bass, modular synth and “gut puncher” one shots…holy shit!!! The one shots are just the tip of the iceberg. The rhythmic synths, score percussion, and risers are visceral, powerful, and unique. Furthermore (and of great importance to me,) Transport really flexes its muscle in the context of professional music production and music scoring." - Brian Trifon (Composer: Halo: CE Anniversary, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Assassin's Creed II, Borderlands 2) "Klayton has given you the power of the modular universe, now go and create cool music.” - Animattronic "Transport is a sound library/instrument you don’t hear everyday. It’s a brutal mashup of mayhem that makes it easy and inspiring to create all sorts of insane, loop-based beat, bass and synth parts. It has an authentic sonic attitude that is all too uncommon in most libraries." - Tom Salta (Composer: Killer Instinct Seasons 3, Halo: Spartan Strike, Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon Advanced, Crackdown, Need For Speed Underground 2, Prince of Persia)     HOW IT WORKS Under the hood, sits the Probability Engine. Rhythmically teleport between slices, and across multiple loops, by holding 2 or more MIDI notes. Not only does the Probability Engine randomly choose which slices and loops to play at a set rate, but it keeps track of playback, so accented notes, snares, or fills, always fall in order, should you let them. On the surface, users have 5 sequencers to control Volume, Delay Send, Cutoff, Pitch, and Step Duration. They run on a separate clock than the Probability Engine, and can sequence in order or randomly, leaving the rhythmic, sonic and melodic possibilities without limitation. Other features include an advanced keyswitch presets function, keyswitch pitch shifting (in addition to the pitch sequencer,) a slice repeater and stepper, velocity sensitivity toggle, and other pop-up controls for each of the 5 sequencer tabs. In addition to the 1,400+ loops, you'll find 600+ one-shot samples comprised of drums, modular synth FX, cinematic impacts, and more.    END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT & PRODUCT MANUAL By purchasing this product you agree to the End User License Agreement outlined in the Transport Product Manual.
