Transition Spur Eagle 70

A short-travel 29er for the cross-country rider who still wants to point it on the way down, the Transition Spur Eagle 70 from Transition Bikes pairs 120mm of rear travel with a 130mm Fox 34 SL Performance fork and a Fox Float SL Performance shock running a 190x45mm stroke. The new SRAM Eagle 70 mechanical drivetrain handles shifting, SRAM Motive Base four-piston brakes handle the stops, and Maxxis Forekaster tires front and rear keep things rolling fast without giving up grip on loose-over-hard. Frame details lean toward the practical: in-frame BOOM Box storage with two included bags, CHIPS adjustment to tune head angle and BB height, and size-specific 435mm chainstays on SM/MD growing to 440mm on L/XL for balanced weight distribution. The wheelset is WTB ST i30 rims laced to Novatec hubs, and the SDG Tellis dropper scales with frame size (150mm on SM, 175mm on MD, 200mm on L and XL). As the entry point into the Eagle-tier Spur lineup, the Eagle 70 sits below the Eagle 90 and XT Di2 builds in Transition's range, giving downcountry buyers the full Spur chassis and the new Eagle 70 transmission at the most accessible spec.
