The Toyota 7MGTE Charcoal BVSV valve is located in the top of thermostat housing on the both the 7MGTE and 7MGE engines. The plastic vacuum hose extensions are often brittle or broken off due to age and heat from the engine and therefore no longer work. This valve is a thermostatically controlled valve to allow fuel vapors from the charcoal canister into the engine when it is up to temperature. It can also be called a thermo switch.
