Totec's Tears - Pasilla & Plum (9oz)

Named for Xipe Totec, the Aztec god of renewal and rebirth. Not all hot sauces need to hurt. Totec's Tears is for everyone who's been left out of the hot sauce conversation, and for spice lovers who want deep flavor without the burn. At 1/10 heat, this is all about the complexity of dried Mexican chilis (guajillo, ancho, pasilla) meeting sweet plum puree and earthy spices. Think of it as a sophisticated BBQ sauce's cooler cousin. The dried chilis bring a smoky, almost chocolate-like depth, while the plums add a sweet-tart brightness that balances everything perfectly. The result is thick enough for dipping, bold enough to stand up to grilled meats, and mild enough that you can actually taste what you're eating. Where it excels: Grilled and roasted meats (especially pork and chicken) Roasted or baked potatoes Chili and stews (adds depth without extra heat) BBQ dishes that need complexity Breakfast eggs for non-spicy mornings As a dipping sauce (that thickness is no joke) This is the sauce that converts people who "don't like hot sauce." It's also the sauce that heat-seekers keep around for when they want flavor over fire. Reviewers consistently mention being able to experience the full taste, and that's exactly the point.
