Bao Bao Issey Miyake Lucent Tote Bag

Both elegant and fun, Issey Miyake Bao Bao bags embody the brand goal of using engineering to explore new possibilities in form. Each Bao Bao bag is created from multiple triangular pieces that convert flat surfaces into three-dimensional ones in new and surprising ways, following the theme of “shapes made by chance.” The store offers a range of bags, from clutches to totes, that are sophisticated as well as practical for both daily use and special occasions. The line was launched under Pleats Please Issey Miyake in 2000 before becoming its own brand from the autumn/winter 2010 collection. The brand carries out ongoing research to explore new possibilities from a unique engineering-based approach. LUCENT is a fundamental series of core styles with large triangles offered in an array of seasonless neutral colors. This standard tote features adjustable handles for wearing over the shoulder and an interior zip pocket to securely store valuables.
