Key Features & Specifications Designed for use with .093-inch (≈2.36 mm) diameter crimp contacts Compatible with both male and female pins Ideal for use with Philmore “61” series and Molex-style .093 connector housings Spring-loaded internal mechanism ensures reliable pin disengagement Compact and ergonomic design for ease of use in field or bench settings Essential for repair, rework, or maintenance of modular wiring systems Application & Usage Notes The Philmore 61-390 pin extraction tool is an essential accessory for any technician, installer, or hobbyist working with .093-inch crimp connectors. It allows for the non-destructive removal of contacts, preserving the integrity of the housing and allowing reuse of connectors. How to Use: Align and insert the tool over the target pin (male or female) inside the housing. The tool compresses the pin’s retention tangs as it seats. Activate the extractor’s mechanism to fully disengage the pin. Gently pull the wire and contact straight out of the housing. Ensure no twisting or side pressure is applied during removal. This tool is especially valuable in field-service scenarios, where replacing an entire connector assembly is not practical. It also supports clean upgrades or modifications without damaging the existing wiring infrastructure. Example Use Scenario Suppose a technician is servicing an equipment cabinet using .093-inch connectors and finds a faulty wire. Rather than replacing the full plug, the technician uses the Philmore 61-390 to remove the damaged pin, re-terminates the wire with a new contact, and reinstalls it—saving time, money, and materials. Why Choose This Tool? Ensures precise, clean removal of crimp contacts without damaging housings Compatible with popular .093-inch connector systems Useful for both professional and DIY repair work Supplied and supported by Tri-Tek Electronics in Mesa, AZ Backed by full manufacturer warranty and expert local service
