To Love, Despite, by Ryan Bolding

Poetry, chapbook, 36 pages, from Bottlecap Features. To Love, Despite collides longing, myth, memory, and the trials of modernity. These poems explore ancient love and loss, wrestle with the challenges of endlessly laboring, and reclamation of self through desire, fantasy, and nature. This chapbook’s collection aims to explore what it means to live tenderly-with grief, despite systems, and in the hope of finding tranquility and defiance through gentleness. Ryan Bolding is a queer poet and therapist based in Seattle. His work explores queer longing, emotional labor, mythology, and quiet defiance. Previously individual poems have been published by Fjords Review, Cathexis Northwest, Neon Origami, The Words Faire, The Closed Eye Open, and Wingless Dreamer.  When not writing, you can find him in the waves or with his cats.
