TOBACCO LEAF DINNER PLATE

Y2336 The Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf Dinner Plate, with the product code, features vibrant colors and intricate decoration that adds elegance and interest to your dinner service. This dinner plate has a diameter of 10.5 inches. It is a part of the Tobacco Leaf collection, known for its striking and detailed design inspired by Chinese export porcelain of the 18th century. These plates can be a beautiful addition to your tableware, bringing a touch of history and artistic flair to your dining experience.  This extravagant design was originally made in China, probably for export to the Portuguese and Brazilian markets. Of all the 18th century dinner patterns, this was the most highly prized. A small phoenix bird perches on the leaves of the flowering Nicotiana (Tobacco) plant. Twenty-seven colors and 22k gold make up this pattern based on an original in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This pattern, one of the longest running patterns by Mottahedeh, continues its strong popularity today, showing that good design is timeless. Diameter 10.5 inches
