Toadstool Cottage I

Toadstool Cottage I is part of my ongoing Home Is Wherever You Imagine It series. This original cyanotype features a tiny cottage perched on a toadstool, with a full moon above and forest below.  I added matte and metallic watercolor to bring in subtle shifts of light and a touch of color. Original, signed cyanotype A6 size, unframed How Cyanotypes Are Made Cyanotypes are created by coating paper with light-sensitive chemistry and exposing it to sunlight. After exposure, the print is washed in water, revealing rich blue tones shaped by light, time, and chance. Each cyanotype is unique. Care and Display Display your original cyanotype out of direct sunlight.
