Piercing Probe Test Kit for MultimetersPiercing probes are used so that you can test a connected wire by having the piercing probes' imbedded needle pass through the wire's insulation. They have a standard female banana jack receptical and will require that you have a set of banana test lead jumpers to connect it to your DMM. The insulation piercing needle is protected by a spring loaded mechanism to provide safety and is designed so the needle is only exposed when the probe is attached to a wire.
