Tjernlund RADON VAC Side Wall Radon Mitigation System

The Tjernlund Radon Vac is the most effective and affordable solution to remove radon gas in existing homes. Since radon typically rises from below homes, the radioactive carcinogen can be inhaled and contributes to thousands of deaths per year. This system works by plugging in the fan and connecting it to the exterior hood. PVC pipe connects the fan to the hood, which releases radon out the side wall in your basement. Its unique design avoids having to run pipes up through the ceiling to the roofline. Top Tjernlund RADON VAC Features Customers count on the Tjernlund Radon Mitigation System because: American-Made Quality: Like all Tjernlund fans we carry, this Tjernlund Mitigation System is made in America. It’s designed for at least 10 years of use with little-to-no maintenance. Other features include corrosion-proof, safe and simple to use. Revolutionary Design: Traditional radon fans need to be vented above the home, but this one maintains the velocity needed to prevent recirculation back into the home. This is possible thanks to its instant dilution and powerful exhaust stream that pushes out the side of the home. Affordable: Avoid the costs and hassle of running the PVC pipe through the roof with its unique side-wall installation, making it the lowest-cost radon mitigation available. Radon Removal: Radon comes through many places - dirt, gravel, and other slab soil types - and the Radon Vac reduces radon levels from all of these places. Strong Exhaust Jet: The erosion-avoiding hood offers a strong exhaust jet that allows for the side wall vent instead of out the top of your home. It also adds fresh air into the exhaust steam and uses blades to push air further from the house. How it Works Installation is easy for a professional contractor. Simply plug in the six-foot power cord and add the PVC pipe through the rim joists to an exterior wall. Then the four-inch hole will connect to the hood outdoors. You can easily adjust the airflow velocity at the hood to accommodate the length of pipe. The corrosion-proof control hood dilutes the radon gas with fresh outdoor air as it exits the hood and safely propels it away from the structure. Why Consider it Radon levels are increasing in virtually every state in America. The EPA estimates up to 8 million homes have elevated levels, while a recent study showed one in five homes have the same issue. Radon levels tend to be highest in the Midwest United States. Most radon enters through soil, bedrock and pipes from the ground. Additional Features Dilutes the Air: The hood infuses outdoor air into the exhaust to dilute it. As outdoor air blends with the home’s mixture, it’s further diluted as air is propelled outdoors in a jet stream. No Couplers Needed: Both the fan and hood directly connect to three-inch PVC, so no rubber couplers are required. An isolated mounting bracket eliminates vibration and rotates to accommodate any installation. ETL-Listed: Meets the tough safety and efficiency standards. Summary Remove radon and dirty air out of your home quickly and efficiently.
