5DEV Titanium Ceramic Bottom Brackets

5DEV Titanium Ceramic Bottom Brackets are engineered as a true no-compromise interface between frame and crank—designed for riders who demand longevity, efficiency, and precision machining in equal measure. Built in San Diego, California, these bottom brackets combine premium materials with meticulous tolerances to deliver smooth rotation and long-term reliability under real-world riding loads. Each bottom bracket uses CNC-machined titanium bearing cups paired with a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum internal sleeve, creating a rigid and corrosion-resistant structure that holds alignment under torque. At the heart of the system are XD-15 ceramic-hybrid ABEC-5 bearings, chosen for their exceptional durability, low friction, and resistance to wear in demanding riding conditions. Designed around 29 mm spindles, the system is fully compatible with SRAM DUB and 5DEV 29 mm cranksets. Whether installed in a T47 or BSA threaded frame, the Titanium Ceramic Bottom Bracket is built to run quietly, spin smoothly, and remain serviceable for the long haul. 5DEV Titanium Ceramic Bottom Bracket Specs at a Glance Spindle Compatibility: 29 mm (SRAM DUB & 5DEV 29 mm) Shell Standards: T47 and BSA threaded Weight: 110 g (T47), 102 g (BSA) Bearing Type: XD-15 ceramic-hybrid ABEC-5 radial bearings Bearing Cup Material: CNC-machined titanium Internal Sleeve: CNC-machined 6061 aluminum Install Tools: Park Tool BBT-47-16 (T47), BBT-79.3 (BSA) Made In: San Diego, California, USA Included Components Titanium Bearing Cups: Left and right, with pressed XD-15 bearings Connecting Tube: 1 pc Bearing Washers: 2 pcs Internal Spacers: 1 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm Additional BSA Spacers: Two 2.5 mm internal spacers (BSA only) Anti-Seize: Included pouch Compatibility Notes Internal bearings: Only compatible with wider shells (86.5 mm or more) T47 68 mm shell with 29 mm spindle: Requires external (outboard) bearings Installation Disclaimer This is a professional-level component intended for installation by a qualified mechanic using proper anti-seize and torque specifications. Improper installation or insufficient lubrication can result in thread seizure or frame damage. Titanium interfaces require correct preparation and routine maintenance—failure to do so may cause irreversible damage to the frame. Final Take The 5DEV Titanium Ceramic Bottom Bracket isn’t about chasing grams or trends—it’s about building a drivetrain interface that lasts.
