Tippecanoe and Tyler Too was the campaign slogan of 1840, and the name has been a joke on canoes ever since. Here a black bear carries a red canoe overhead with Tippy Canoe lettered on the side, a creel hanging from it and a cub beside her with a fishing rod. The portage was a favorite scene of the sporting illustrators, and she paints it with the same easy confidence. The red canoe carries the whole composition. Best in a canoe camp cabin or a lake house entry. Product Specifications Artist: Marilynn Dwyer Mason Print: Giclée on canvas Unframed Giclee: 22 x 28 in. or 30 x 40 in.
