Tiny Fossil Trilobite- Fos3

Trilobites were a diverse group of marine arthropods, first appearing about 521 million years ago. Despite their extinction, trilobites were a rather successful marine species, thanks to their hard exoskeleton. They were wiped out in the Permian mass extinction, which eliminated approximately 90% of the species on the Earth. The exoskeleton responsible for the animal’s resilience and diversity also made for an excellent fossil record. Trilobite fossils can be found all over the world. This specific one was sourced from Morocco. The overall piece measures 1 1/4" tall, 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide.  Whether you’re adding to your collection, searching for the perfect gift for a fossil lover, or in need of a low-maintenance pet, this little trilobite is the way to go. The authentic fossil pictured is the exact piece you will receive. Reference code: Fos3
