this tiny beaded spoon shows off the craftsmanship of our Kenyan artisans.  details material: olive wood  measurements:  3 x 1.25" about the artisan one little world partners with an amazing organization in Nairobi that offers women a safe place.  Our artisans began their journey having been broken and devastated by the horrors of civil conflict. The women share a common need of healing, a restored vision, and a renewed energy to live again. While they came with needs they also came with gifts. They bring together skills in stitching, a love of African textiles, an eye for beauty, and a passion for peace. Together they create an abundant product line from jewelry to kitenge, using materials that are both sustainable and local to their Nairobi communities.  Women are able to gain greater skills, work together in community and are paid fairly, of course. This Collective also offers its “mamas” school fees for their children.
