Tiffin Modern

Tiffin Glass Company Pine Green vase, model 6263 USA, ca. 1950 Green glass vase cased in clear with undulating rim. 8 1/8" h, 6 3/4" w (20.5, 17cm) The Tiffin Glass Company produced some of the finest post-war art glass in the United States. They employed Scandinavian glass artists, and their influence can be seen in various series. Tiffin also used fine quality materials and optical grade silica providing for very saturated colors and extremely clear crystal. This vase, produced in Pine Green, is extremely rare and is the only example in this color that has surfaced. The color Pine Green was produced for a very short time in the early fifties, making it one of the rarest Tiffin colors to find.  Excellent condition. Very minor traces of use to the exterior only visible under close inspection.  Reference: Tiffin Glassmasters the Modern Years, O'Kane, p. 10 discusses the color and p. 80 illustrates form.
