Tiffany Studios New York Turtleback Tile Candlestick

In this remarkable turtleback ball candlestick, each segment of green glass, infused with luminous shades of blue, purple, and gold iridescence, has been meticulously cut into irregular forms to emulate the intricate patterning of a turtle’s shell. The glass mosaic, set within a patinated bronze framework, captures and refracts light with a jewel-like brilliance, a hallmark of Tiffany Studios’ artistry. The candlestick rests upon a sculptural bronze base modeled after the underside of a dandelion flower, its radiating ribs and organic contours underscoring the studio’s reverence for natural forms and exquisite craftsmanship.
