Sowing Outdoors: We do not recommend starting petunia seeds outdoors Growth Habit: Mounding, spreading Height and Width: 8-10" x 36" Spacing: 12-18" apart Light Needs: Full sun Soil Needs: Loose, rich, well-drained Approximate days to flower from seed: 90-100 days Uses: Flower beds, containers, hanging baskets, or window boxes Care: When grown in containers petunias need to be fertilized and watered regularly. This will keep the plants blooming all season long. During the heat of summer, they will need to be watered a few times a week. When growing petunias in the ground amend the soil with compost before planting. Apply a liquid fertilizer every 1-2 weeks or use a time-release fertilizer at planting time.
