1911 Big Game Ticket

Ticket 1911 Big Game — a ticket stub from an era when admission was printed on heavy stock and torn by gloved hands at the turnstile, the words "Big Game" carrying the weight of a rivalry settled in autumn mud and wool jerseys. It survives the way ephemera rarely does: creased, faintly foxed, still holding the ceremony of a Saturday that mattered. About the Source Bella Frye sources sports artifacts from American archives — the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for inventor's drawings, and from the great American tobacco-card and broadside traditions for vintage memorabilia: Allen & Ginter, T206, Cracker Jack, Boston Garter, the Negro League broadsides, and the early press photographs that documented baseball, football, golf, and the rest of the American sporting century.
