ThunderMax M8 Touring Engine Control Module with Auto-Tune System - Part 309-605 by ThunderMax

Engine Control Module with Integral Auto Tune System - M8 Touring The ThunderMax ECM with Auto-Tune module (Part 309-605) is a high-performance engine management solution designed specifically for M8 Touring motorcycles. This module replaces the factory ECM and seamlessly integrates with the existing harness, offering a straightforward installation process that includes mounting in place of the original unit, connecting the plug-in harness, and installing the wide-band oxygen sensors. Once installed, riders can load the appropriate map for their bike, and the auto-tune feature will continuously adjust the air/fuel ratio to optimize performance across all riding conditions, enhancing throttle response, exhaust sound, and overall driveability. Equipped with wide-band oxygen sensors, the ThunderMax Auto-Tune system operates as a closed-loop control system, ensuring precise tuning without the need for dyno sessions. The package includes the ECM, plug-in harness, two wide-band sensors, ThunderMax TMax software, and a communication USB cable, providing a comprehensive setup for easy installation and ongoing tuning adjustments. The system supports hundreds of downloadable maps tailored for various modifications such as exhaust systems, air cleaners, pistons, and cams, enabling riders to select and load the best tune for their setup. The integral auto-tune feature then fine-tunes the air/fuel ratio in real-time, delivering optimal power and efficiency. Additional features include the ability to adjust idle speed, rev limit, and speedometer calibration, as well as customize ignition timing, AFR maps, and startup parameters for enhanced customization. The software allows for live monitoring, recording diagnostic codes, engine temperature, RPM, and other critical data points, making it a valuable tool for troubleshooting and performance analysis. Support for turbo, nitrous, and supercharger setups extends its versatility, while updates and new maps are available online at no extra charge. Made in the USA, the ThunderMax ECM with Auto-Tune is compatible with all popular exhaust systems and high-performance camshafts, providing a reliable, versatile, and easy-to-use solution for serious riders seeking optimal engine management without requiring dyno tuning. Please note that some aftermarket exhaust systems may need modifications for sensor clearance or port relocation for optimal installation.
