Thunderhead Pine Tree

Thunderhead Pine (Pinus thunbergii 'Thunderhead') is a shrub-like, dense compact form of the Japanese Black Pine Tree. It has an irregular growth habit that adds character and interest to any landscape. Silvery white spring candles become rich, dark green dense needles that provide year-round interest. Thunderhead Pine is an evergreen tree that is very popular for use as a focal point in gardens whether sculpted into a topiary or left in its natural form. This conifer, prized for its foliage, can grow up to 10 feet tall and 15 feet wide and is sure to steal the show when used in zen gardens and rustic landscaping.
