Through Eternity

Seven hundred years after his poetry swept the Persian world, Molavi—better known in the West as Rumi—can still be heard within the lush rhythms and phrasings of Persia's passionate musical tradition. On Through Eternity, Iran's acclaimed Dastan Ensemble brings together an all-star gathering of master musicians in an unprecedented evening of virtuoso vocal and instrumental performances. Dastan has already thrilled standing-room-only audiences at music festivals and concerts across the globe. Now in six soulful tracks, they weave a brilliant web of ethereal songs in homage to Molavi, an ecstatic net of jewels that reflects both the allure of Persia's musical past and a visionary excursion into its future. Liner notes include complete English-language song translations.
