Through a Dog's Ear

Through a Dog's Ear™—A Clinical Breakthrough in the Use of Music for Dogs Music can soothe the savage beast—including your dog! The music of the Through a Dog's Ear: Music to Calm Your Canine Companion series has been clinically tested to calm dogs, and in many cases, reduce anxiety. The instrumentation is simple—solo piano. The individual pieces have been selected and/or arranged to gradually reduce your pooch's heart rate to calmer levels. This is accomplished naturally by progressively slowing rhythms and simplifying auditory data. Tested on 150 dogs in shelters, clinics, and homes, the psychoacoustically designed piano music of Through a Dog's Ear reduces canine anxiety behaviors twice as effectively as conventional classical music. Music to Calm Your Canine Companion, Vols. 1–3 are interchangeable and recommended for when you want your dog to rest, when your dog is left alone, or when anxiety or excitement in your dog is anticipated—thunderstorms, fireworks, or the arrival of guests. People will also find it to be deeply relaxing; for this reason please don't operate heavy machinery or drive when listening. How Through a Dog's Ear helped with common behavioral issues: Hyper-destruction: "My dog Girlie is so hyper that on many occasions she has dug through the kennel and destroyed parts of the car. Calm Your Canine has stopped the behavior." —K.C., San Francisco, CA Recreational barking: "Calm Your Canine is working miracles, not only on our dog, but on myself as well. We have a recreational barker and as soon as I put on the CD, she goes and quietly lies down. We thank you as do our neighbors." —C.C., Orlando, Florida Separation anxiety:"Ranger, our 6-year-old German Shepherd, has extreme separation anxiety. With Calm Your Canine he is much more relaxed about our leaving him. Yesterday, he only barked twice—much less than normal." —C.W., Corbett, OR
