Three Birds Acrylic Glass Triptych

Triptych of three birds flying over calm water on a peaceful morning on Cap Ferrat, France. I love triptychs for many reasons: dividing a scene into multiple panels creates a really striking piece - they make abstract images even more impactful, and with scenery, it almost feels like you’re looking out a window. They are also ideal when you want to add a large statement art piece as a focal point on a big wall. But they’re not only for huge spaces – triptychs can actually make smaller rooms feel larger. From a practical standpoint, 3 separate panels are a bit easier to handle than a single piece oversized print. And even though they are designed to be hung together, you have the option to separate them if you want to. • The size listed for triptych designs is the size of each of the three panels separately. • The price listed for each size is for the entire set of 3 panels. Acrylic glass prints are perfect when you want a borderless, modern look, or want to hang art in a bathroom, pool house, spa, or other humid area. ACRYLIC PRINT FEATURES • 1/8", 1/4” or 1/2” thick glass with polished edges • Shatterproof • UV resistant • Gallery quality • Professionally handmade in the US • Ready to hang with wall mounts already installed WHAT IS AN ACRYLIC PRINT? People sometimes call them “photo prints on glass or acrylic”, but there are a couple of different ways to create them, and my acrylic prints are actually not printed ON the acrylic. My lab uses the fine art, gallery-quality “face mounting” method, where the print is placed behind the acrylic and backed with DiBond (a rigid plastic core surrounded by two thin sheets of aluminum), and safely sealed in place. So when you look at the image, you look through the acrylic, and because of how light travels within it, you get a much more vibrant image with depth and colors that really pop. In the right light, it almost has a 3D look (the thicker the acrylic, the more 3D the look). Plus this method also gives you superior results in terms of color accuracy and permanence (no color fading). The 1/8" and 1/4” thick acrylic glass is available on all print sizes, and the 1/2” acrylic is an option on panels up to 30x40 inches. STANDARD vs. PREMIUM GLASS The main differences are the thickness of the glass and resistance to the environment. ➤ The Standard acrylic comes in 1/4 and 1/2 inches, whereas the Premium acrylic is only available as 1/8" thick. ➤ The Standard acrylic needs to be cleaned with a special cleaner and microfiber cloth - Windex and other harsher cleaners can damage it. The Premium acrylic is a lot more resistant, and can be cleaned with any ammonia-free glass cleaner. ➤ The Premium acrylic has a few other benefits as well: It's less reflective, more scratch-resistant, anti-static (doesn't collect duct), and provides 99% UV protection (vs. 75% in the Standard acrylic). HANGING THE PANELS The acrylic glass triptychs have a French cleat hanging system that floats the panels 3/4" from the wall. All acrylic prints come with hanging instructions and hardware included.
