Thought Catalog Magazine Issue 02

The Thought Catalog Magazine is our ode to reading and is a curated, beautiful printed collection of our best writing and creators. Why Print? For digital-first publishers, we know what works in the social feed has an outsized influence on what defines your brand. How do you balance publishing the content that you want versus what Facebook wants and create a separation of your brand from the viral sameness of the feed? One answer is to get offline completely and create a print magazine. To produce a true, unfiltered work that’s a stake in the ground for who you are and what you stand for. That’s what the Thought Catalog Zine is about. The very fact that it’s sitting in your hands is evidence that we believe this content is worthy of your time and physical space. We’re deliberately resetting the Facebook balance by mixing the fun, short-form stories like ‘What Everyone Thinks About You, But Nobody Says, Based On Your Zodiac Sign’ with deeper stories like the stinging reality of falling for someone who doesn’t like you back. It’s a beautiful, uninterrupted experience where there’s no need to like, share, comment, or engage. It’s simply for you, and the stories and images that resonate.
