ThorpyFX Scarlet Tunic

Unlock Iconic Vintage Amp Tones with the ThorpyFX Scarlet Tunic The ThorpyFX Scarlet Tunic is a masterfully crafted analog amp emulator designed to bring the legendary sounds of vintage British amplification directly to your pedalboard. Fitted with a high-quality, custom audio transformer, this pedal breathes, reacts, and distorts with the exact feel and dynamic response of a full-sized tube amplifier. The Origin of a Legend: The Syd Barrett Tone Originally commissioned by Lee Harris (Saucerful of Secrets) to authentically replicate the elusive vintage amp tones of Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett, the Scarlet Tunic was born to emulate the rare Selmer Treble and Bass 50. ThorpyFX nailed the Selmer tone, but pushed the design even further. This powerhouse pedal now successfully captures the unmistakable chime of a Vox AC30 and the muscular headroom of a Hiwatt DR103, giving you a stadium-ready vintage amp arsenal in a single enclosure. Seamless Integration Tested extensively on world tour stages, the Scarlet Tunic is built to deliver unmatched reliability and tone. Whether you are using it to push an existing amp, stacking it with your favorite drive pedals, or building a brand-new signature sound, this pedal integrates flawlessly into any modern rig. Comprehensive Tone Sculpting Controls Dial in your perfect amp-in-a-box tone using the highly responsive control layout: Master: Controls the overall volume output. Balances perfectly with the Gain knob and Sens switch to ensure unity volume or a massive boost. Gain: Dictates your level of drive. Sweep from a lightly crispy breakup all the way to rich, full-on amp saturation. Treble: Shapes the high-end frequencies. Roll it counterclockwise for smooth, warm tones, or clockwise for brilliant, biting highs. Bass: Controls the low-end thump. Turn counterclockwise for tighter, brighter tones, or clockwise for dark, resonant warmth. Presence: A highly powerful EQ sweep that shapes the upper-midrange response, allowing you to completely alter the character of the pedal to match your mix. Advanced Voicing Switches Deep Switch: Acts as a master low-end control to fundamentally shift the bass character and resonance of the emulation. Bright Switch: Functions as a master highs control to instantly add or tame top-end sparkle. Sens Switch: Replicates the Hi/Lo (or 1/2) input jacks found on vintage amplifiers, giving you three distinct baseline gain levels and sensitivity structures.
