Thompson Seedless —also known as Sultanina—is a Vitis vinifera table grape with pale-green seedless berries used fresh and for raisins. It performs best where the growing season is warm and long enough to mature the fruit. This product is one dormant bare-root vine. Thompson Seedless grape vine details Plant form: One dormant bare-root grape vine USDA hardiness zones: 7–10 Pollination: Self-fruitful; a second grape variety is not required for fruit set Harvest: Commonly late summer into early fall; timing varies with climate and growing conditions Pruning: Cane prune during dormancy and train on a sturdy trellis, arbor, or wire system Fruit: Pale-green elongated seedless berries with sweet flesh Planting and care Plant in full sun, with at least seven to eight hours of direct light, in well-drained soil. Install permanent support at planting. Water deeply during establishment without leaving the root zone saturated. Annual dormant pruning renews fruiting wood and keeps the canopy open. Thompson Seedless is vigorous and needs consistent annual pruning and a sturdy training system. Harvest and shipping notes Taste fruit from several clusters before harvest because grapes do not continue to ripen after picking. A dormant bare-root vine may arrive leafless; this is normal. Establishment, ripening, and crop size depend on site, weather, vine age, pruning, and care.
