It is made of smooth porcelain (ceramic), which stays naturally cool to the touch, making it soothing and de-puffing as it glides over the skin. Does gua sha slim your face permanently? Gua sha gives a temporary de-puffed, more sculpted look by boosting circulation and draining fluid, and it relaxes facial tension. It does not permanently slim the face or change bone structure, so think of it as a refreshing, feel-good ritual with a short-term glow. Do I need to use oil or cream with it? Yes. Always glide it over skin slick with a facial oil or gua sha cream so it moves smoothly and never drags on dry skin. How often should I use a gua sha? You can use it daily or a few times a week. A few minutes per session is plenty; always glide gently over skin slick with oil or cream, never dragging on dry skin.
