ThirdReality Soil Moisture Sensor Gen2

Transform your gardening with the ThirdReality Zigbee Soil Moisture Sensor—a precision tool for keeping plants thriving through smart, automated care. Using Zigbee 3.0, it integrates directly with Home Assistant via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT to monitor soil moisture in real-time, triggering watering automations or alerts for optimal hydration. Ideal for indoor pots, greenhouses, or outdoor gardens, its capacitive probe delivers reliable readings unaffected by soil variations, ensuring durable performance without the pitfalls of traditional sensors. With a required Zigbee hub, it's the perfect addition for Home Assistant users seeking effortless, remote plant management. FEATURES Zigbee 3.0 Home Assistant Integration: Seamlessly compatible with Home Assistant (using ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT) and other Zigbee systems like SmartThings or Aeotec for mesh-network reliability. A Zigbee hub/coordinator is required for optimal performance—note: not compatible with Alexa Echo devices, making it a focused choice for HA-centric setups.   Remote Monitoring & Smart Automations: Get instant smartphone alerts via Home Assistant for low moisture levels, so you can act from anywhere to nurture your plants. Integrate with HA-compatible irrigation controllers or smart valves to automate watering schedules—e.g., trigger a drip system when soil dries below 30%, saving time and preventing over/under-watering.   Reliable & Accurate Readings: Features a robust sensing probe for immediate, precise moisture detection suitable for diverse environments. Optimized for Zigbee's signal range, it's best for indoor use but versatile enough for greenhouses or potted plants—ensuring your greenery stays perfectly hydrated with data you can trust in Home Assistant dashboards.   Advanced Capacitive Technology: Employs non-invasive capacitive sensing that's resilient to soil salinity, pH fluctuations, and corrosion, outlasting resistive probes for long-term reliability across soil types. Perfect for farms, nurseries, gardens, or home pots—pair with Home Assistant to log trends and refine care routines over time. Hassle-Free Setup & Maintenance: Easy insertion into soil with adhesive or stake mounting; pairs quickly in Home Assistant's Zigbee interface. Battery-powered (details via HA integration) for low-maintenance operation, with OTA updates through your hub to keep firmware current. Whats in the box?
