ThirdReality Door & Window Sensor

Enhance your Home Assistant smart home with the ThirdReality Zigbee Door/Window Sensor—a compact, reliable sensor designed for seamless integration with Home Assistant via Zigbee. Perfect for monitoring doors, windows, cabinets, or drawers, it triggers automations instantly when opened or closed. With a 2-year battery life (powered by 2 AAA batteries) and easy setup through Home Assistant’s Zigbee integration (e.g., ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT), this sensor is a must-have for security, lighting, or notification automations. Its versatile design suits most indoor doors and windows, delivering real-time updates to keep your home secure and responsive. FEATURES Zigbee-Powered Home Assistant Integration: Natively works with Home Assistant using Zigbee coordinators (e.g., ZHA, Zigbee2MQTT) for low-latency, reliable performance. Also compatible with Echo (4th Gen), Echo Plus (1st/2nd Gen), Echo Studio, Eero 6/Pro 6, SmartThings (2015/2018), Aeotec, Hubitat, Homey Bridge/Pro, ThirdReality Hub, and ThirdReality Smart Speaker. (Zigbee coordinator required for Home Assistant.)   Custom Automations with Home Assistant: Create powerful automations in Home Assistant—trigger lights (e.g., IKEA Tradfri or Gledopto Zigbee bulbs), send push notifications, or activate alarms when a door/window opens or closes. Set up time-based or condition-based rules, like turning off devices when a window remains closed, all managed via Home Assistant’s intuitive interface.   Hassle-Free Setup: Pair in seconds—enter pairing mode, and Home Assistant auto-detects the sensor through your Zigbee coordinator. If using an Echo hub, simply say, “Alexa, discover devices.” No tools or wiring needed, with adhesive installation for quick mounting on most indoor doors and windows.   Long-Lasting & Easy Maintenance: Powered by two AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries (included), offering up to 2 years of life in typical use. Monitor battery levels directly in Home Assistant or the ThirdReality app (with ThirdReality Hub/Speaker). Receive low-battery alerts via email when enabled through Alexa’s ThirdReality Skill.  Enhanced Functionality with ThirdReality Ecosystem: Pair with the ThirdReality Hub/Speaker to access battery status and historical open/close events in the ThirdReality app. View when doors/windows were last opened to track activity or enhance security—all integrated into Home Assistant for centralized control.   Whats in the box?
