Theremin Electronic DIY Kit

Assemble your own electronic device and play cinematic, hands-free music out of thin air. In 1920, an engineer named Leon Theremin discovered he could create music and sound by waving his hands around electric fields. The theremin has since been used in all kinds of music, especially in sci-fi movies. Now you can build your own theremin with this DIY kit, made for ages 10+. Everything you need is in the box, so you can start building right away. Build step by step, with breaks to check your work and learn how your circuit works. Once assembled, you can create music and sound by waving your hands around electric fields! Discover the physics of electrical capacitance and practice working with real electronic parts. Features of the Theremin Electronic DIY Kit include: No soldering, tools or glue required for assembly. Build your own theremin in under an hour. Build with 30 real electronic parts. Control pitch and volume by waving your hands around the antennas. Includes 2 sensors: one for pitch and one for volume for a more authentic theremin playing experience. Includes an onboard speaker so you can hear the “spooky” sounds immediately after you finish building. No-screen STEM - provides a break from digital screens. Teaches kids about electronic fields through a hands-on experience. Also teaches the principles of capacitance and how the human body acts as a conductor. Pitch range of C4 to C6 (2 octaves). Runs on 3 AA batteries (included). Detailed instructions with troubleshooting guide. Board measures 0.35h x 2.1w x 3.25"d with two 8” antennas that can bend into any shape. Ages 10+.
