The Wolf (forest & musk)

Scent Notes: Forest, Cedar, oak, pine, animal musk, metallic silver, wood  This scent starts strong off the bat with fresh pines, moss, and forest. But as it faded you begin to smell that deep animal musk. With that little something metallic you just can’t put your finger on. This fragrance tells the story from the beginning to the end with the notes and they fade and stay. And what’s really been fun, the dry down smells different on every person.  THE WOLF Through our cocoons of steel and glass, we feel the forest call to us. Over the hum of white noise, we hear the sound of the wind as it whips through the pines. When we look up at the full moon, our eyes are large and wild. Isn’t it unusual how we’re better able to see blades of grass, the leaves of trees, and the contours of mountains under the moon’s gentle glow? Consider the importance of these moments: they are signs the animal within us can still find eternal truth amid modern falsehood.     10ml glass roller with stainless steel roller  ingredients: coconut oil, fragrance oil, essential oil  A touch of History for the nerds: The legend of the Wolf Man, or the “werewolf” has haunted folklore for centuries, with roots stretching back to ancient Greece and medieval Europe, where shape-shifters were feared as cursed beings or agents of the devil. The concept of men transforming into wolves under the full moon gained momentum in the 16th and 17th century. BUT By the 19th century, as Gothic horror flourished, the werewolf legend found new life in Penny Dreadfuls - cheaply printed papers yet wildly popular horror stories that thrilled Victorian audiences. These weekly serials embraced the macabre, weaving tales of supernatural terror, including the menace of the werewolf, often portrayed as a tormented soul cursed by fate. This era of lurid storytelling helped shape the modern horror archetype, paving the way for cinematic and pop culture. From these grisly Victorian tales to todays gothic horror revival, the Wolf Man remains an enduring figure both beast and man, monster and victim, forever trapped between the wild and the civilized.
