The Vegetable Garden Planner

Welcome to a new approach to garden planning and record keeping! Rather than being arranged chronologically, as virtually every gardening notebook until now has been, this journal is arranged by the type of vegetable. Each crop is introduced with basic advice for getting it off to a good start, followed by a page where you can record your experience -- which varieties you grew, when you planted, how well they produced, and whether you liked the flavor. The advantage of this format is that you won't need to go through a stack of previous year's records to remember the details of what you have grown before. Instead, you will have all your records in one place for a quick review at the start of each season. As experienced gardeners know, keeping track of your garden is essential to improving it. If you are diligent about keeping records, you can easily duplicate successes and avoid failures.  At the front of the book is a section called "My Garden Basics" with information you can look up once and have accessible for future years. For example, you can write down your frost-free dates, then fill in the table with the seed-starting dates that are appropriate for your location.  The goal is for you to accumulate information year after year. In the process, you will be creating your own customized planner specific to YOUR garden.  The Vegetable Garden Planner was created to be a pleasure to use. It has charming illustrations, luxurious paper, and a lay-flat binding. If you are the kind of person who prefers pen and paper to a computer spreadsheet, you will enjoy keeping records of your garden and you will keep this book on your shelf for many years. Makes a great gift for a vegetable gardener, too! 7 x 10 inches, 204 pages.
