The Truth Mirage

Is the way you see your life and the world based in Truth? Or, is it just a Mirage? In a culture where everyone operates from the same basic beliefs, understanding the common worldview may not be too important. America used to be that kind of place - but is no longer. Our cultural environment is now dominated by non-Christian beliefs, and a knowledge of its various competing worldviews has become a critical tool for Christians who wish to express their faith and preserve their way of life in contemporary culture. It is the key to having the freedom to stand strong in our own faith, as well as to having the ability to effectively share Christ out in the world. There is a reason this is so important. We live in a world where the majority believes it is okay for them to make up their own moral beliefs. With that as today's starting point, it is natural for people (them) to believe that their understanding of truth is right. But the fact is, truth exists in some actual way, and every belief that goes against that is simply false. What this means is that what most people in the world believe to be truth, is actually a mirage - and if we wish to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ, we need to become effective in dispelling that mirage. What others are saying about The Truth Mirage Our country's transition to a secular, and pluralistic belief system, is no surprisewe hear about this regularly from the church pulpits, and we witness it in every sector of society. I have shouted from the mountaintop that our greatest concern should not be the impact of this on the world, but the impact on the Christian culture. The Truth Mirage addresses this in an intentional manner. Dr. Freddy Davis clearly emphasizes that Christians must understand their biblical belief system, and worldview, at a deeper level. He accentuates that a coherent belief system will not only preserve the Christian ethos in our churches, homes, and the greater Christian culture, it will also prepare and propel more confident ambassadors for Christ to make a difference in the marketplace. – Larry Taylor, Ph.D. Head of School Prestonwood Baptist Church Freddy Davis is cutting-edge when it comes to defending the Christian faith. In this important book, Freddy provides his readers with an introduction to various non-Christian worldviews. He instructs his readers how to understand, evaluate, and refute non-Christian worldviews. In a post-Christian, post-truth culture, Freddy Davis sounds the alarm and prepares the saints for spiritual battle. Reading this book will enable Christians to both "understand the times" and "defend the faith once for all delivered to the saints." – Dr. Phil Fernandes Pastor of Trinity Bible Fellowship Professor of Apologetics and Religion, Veritas International University  Hardcover Book
