The Three Graces Pendant

Inspired by an ancient relief fragment in the Louvre, the Three Graces Pendant preserves one of antiquity’s most enduring images of feminine intimacy: three figures gathered in quiet harmony, their bodies forming a circle of beauty, generosity, and shared joy. Known to the Greeks as the Charites and to the Romans as the Gratiae, the Three Graces were attendants of Aphrodite and Venus, embodiments of charm, pleasure, abundance, and the gifts that pass between women. In ancient art, they often appear entwined, each figure distinct yet inseparable from the others, a vision of friendship, reciprocity, and grace freely given. Cast in solid gold or gold vermeil, this pendant translates the worn softness of the original fragment into a jewel that feels both ancient and intimate. A piece for friendship, sisterhood, and the invisible bonds between women.
