The Stogie - Soft Cedar Plug

This soft plug, also known as a Tuna lure, is not entirely soft. The hard head is infused with balance weighted lead and urethane that makes the lure track like a cedar plug but with even greater tail action. The lighter tail mimics a squid hitting the surface. These plugs are proving to be extremely effective for tuna lure enthusiasts as well as mahi, marlin, and wahoo. The new and extremely innovative Magbay Stogie, aka Soft Cedar Plug by Magbay Lures, is taking the offshore fishing industry by storm. If you're chasing tuna lures, this is the tool you'll want in your tackle box. Features: Soft and Hard for perfect tail whipping action Weight balanced head 6 inches Fully Rigged Cedar plugs are a type of fishing lure that has been used by anglers for many years to catch a wide range of game fish, including tuna lure, mahi-mahi, and marlin. They are named for the fact that they are typically made from cedar wood, which is a lightweight and durable material that can withstand the rigors of fishing. Cedar plugs are typically cylindrical in shape, with a tapered nose and a flat tail. They are often painted in bright colors, such as blue or green, to make them more visible to fish. Cedar plugs are typically fished by trolling them behind a boat at a slow to medium speed, with the lure swimming in a zigzag pattern through the water. One of the reasons that cedar plugs are so effective as a Tuna lure is that they mimic the appearance and movement of a wounded baitfish. The tapered nose of the cedar plug creates a swimming action that is very similar to that of a baitfish in distress, which can be highly attractive to predatory fish. Cedar plugs are also highly versatile, as they can be fished at various depths and speeds to target different types of game fish. They can be fished on their own, or in combination with other lures or teasers, to create a larger and more attractive presentation in the water. Overall, cedar plugs are a popular and effective fishing lure that has been used by anglers for many years. Their simplicity, versatility, and effectiveness at mimicking wounded baitfish make them a favorite of many anglers who are looking for the perfect Tuna lure for their next big catch.
