The Springfield 582 (47mm)

What makes the Springfield 582 unique: The Vortic Watch Company proudly presents its newest wristwatch conversion built from an antique 17-jewel Illinois Watch Company pocket watch, our Springfield 582. This timeless piece of history has been lovingly restored and converted into a modern wristwatch, allowing you to carry a piece of the past with you wherever you go. We love this incredibly unique dial, combining the off-white with these gold-colored machined details in the center. The numerals give a distinguished look and contrast very nicely with the rest of the dial. The titanium case has been sandblasted to give it a sleek, modern look while retaining its vintage charm. The gold-plated crown and gears add a touch of luxury to the watch, while the moss leather strap ensures a comfortable fit. The intricate details of the 17 jewels add a unique touch of sophistication to this timeless piece. This watch is sure to make a statement, with its classic design and modern features, this watch will be a timeless addition to any wardrobe. This watch was originally produced by the Illinois Watch Company in Springfield, Illinois in 1922. This is also the same year that the first commercial radio station in the United States, KDKA in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, began broadcasting. This marked a momentous occasion in American history as it was the first time people could listen to the news, music, and other entertainment without having to be in the same room as the source. KDKA's first broadcast was the result of a team of engineers and technicians, who worked tirelessly to make the station a reality. This pioneering broadcast opened up a whole new world of possibilities, and it changed the way people communicated with each other forever.
