The Springfield 570 (47mm)

What makes the Springfield 570 unique: Today, we’re excited to showcase this remarkable watch that was originally manufactured by the Illinois Watch Company over a century ago — the Springfield 570. The front of this impressive watch reveals a light-lavender blush dial with an intricate center design and blued-steel diamond kite watch hands. You can also see the watch’s helpful subdial and gold-colored numerals that match its minute indicators. We paired this antique pocket watch movement with our protective and fashionable Machined Titanium case and a gold-plated crown that matches the dial’s stunning details. Our Machined Titanium case features a transparent back, enabling you to view its 406-grade open-face movement with gold-plated gears, and 19 jewels throughout the bridge plate. You can also see the movement’s stylish engravings, including “Illinois Watch Co” and “Capitol.” Finally, the movement features a nickel finish and a Going barrel. We completed this terrific wristwatch with our eye-catching and comfortable Merlot leather watch strap. The Illinois Watch Company initially produced this awe-inspiring pocket watch in Springfield, Illinois, in 1921 — the same year that the first Major League Baseball game was broadcast on the radio. On August 5, 1921, the Pittsburgh Pirates went head-to-head against the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Pittsburgh AM radio station KDKA broadcast the event with Harold Arlin as the game’s announcer. The Pirates beat the Phillies 8-5. Later that year, KDKA and the Newark radio station WJZ broadcast the 1921 World Series, when the New York Giants defeated Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees in the eighth game.
